Absolutely amazing place. Its is just stunning everywhere, food is fantastic, staff are wonderful. We lived how the other half live for the afternoon. We look forward to an over night stay here to make the most of everything they have to offer.
I highly recommend this venue for functions and weddings/anniversaries, here is why: a) Very homely b) Excellent rooms with everything you could possibly want c) Dog friendly!!! d) Excellent staff that care for your well being and every need. The location is great, fascinating and elegant, even though some furniture is a bit tired. Food-wise, we visited this place for a Sunday roast, very good but not the best. Gravy and Yorkshire pudding were definitely remarkable and will remember them! Service was quite disappointing though, we get it's not an extremely "family-friendly" restaurant but staff could make you feel at ease much more, and be more welcoming if you're a family with two young children. In any case good value for money, the bill was fair.
