This is more of a walk than a place, however it's a lovely walk. We we told it's 2 miles but doesn't seem that on. There is a Cark park at the end of waterside road or thee is road did paring too. The beck is very clear although very weedy, well maintained fishing pegs are along the roadside, and day tickets are available from the coop/garage just up the road. After talking to a few who were fishing I'm told there are various species of fish in the beck such as bream, perch, carp and pike. On your right is a large field full of horses and cows. Further up towards the lock are moored numerous boats and barges even a submarine, no idea what the story is with that? Overall a very pleasant, and enjoyable walk in an excellent location with plenty to see. Highly recommended.
