Queensgate Cemetary a peaceful and tidy place to remember our ancestors. It is very well maintained. There is a toilet on the grounds. There are shady trees and benches for resting. There is a lawn near the rear, possibly for respectfully scattering the remains of cremated ancestors. I understand this cemetery is non-denominational, meaning that remains of ancestors from various religious or non-religious backgrounds may rest there.Note that this cemetery has a second older location just the other side of the Grammar School up the road and slightly closer to town at the corner with Sloe Lane. It also has an entrance off Cartwright Lane. The Beverley Treasure House (library) on Champney Road has an archive with family history resources. Among them are books with transcripts of all the memorial stones at Queensgate Cemetary as well as other local cemeteries. Some visitors might first check those books if searching for a particular lair. Also visit Saint Mary's Cemetery at the corner of Molescroft Road and Bleach Yard on the northern side of Beverley.

Very quaint & well looked after.

Lawrence is a lovely friendly groundsman , he's definitely the right man for that job , when you visit the cemetery, he nearly always has time for a little chat.

Very calm and peaceful. Very neat and tidy

Even though it's a cemetery it's a lovely place to have your kin buried. They caretakers look after it really well.
